While emphasis is often placed on the idea of connection through rope, it can be difficult to find education on the communication needed to achieve it. Oftentimes, it can feel like trying to invent a new language with your partner, especially for those who are new to rope. In this class we will offer drills and exercises to help bridge the gap of understanding between rope bottoms and tops. The goal of this hands-on class is to give the tools necessary to not only fine tune communication with your partner for more productive lab sessions, but also for more seamless scenes.

Many people in the kink lifestyle have heard the term ‘risk profile’, but oftentimes when asked about acceptable risks, people instead give hard and soft limits. While still an essential part of negotiation, RACK (Risk Aware Consensual Kink) requires understanding what the worst case scenario can be, and what we’re willing to accept. So how do we make these judgment calls? In this course, you will learn how to approach scene building from a risk aware space and learn tips and tricks to become more confident in your play.

Prerequisites: None
Please bring: Something to take notes
Required to teach the class: Lecture room with chairs
Most ties require us to learn frictions, but we learn the patterns instead of the components that make up the whole. In this tie-along class, we will learn three natural fiber based frictions, how they function best, and why we make the conscious choices to choose them. This fundamental skill allows us to tie more organically when creating or adapting harnesses and make more informed decisions. Although this class is centered around learning frictions, it will be taught by applying the principles to create a lower body harness.

Prerequisites: Single Column Tie
Please bring: 3-4 hanks of rope and something to take notes
Jute fuzz, flying through the air… rope burns across your fingers…the soft thud of a weight hitting the ground.. then DAMN! A knot! Rope handling is generally a skill learned later in one's rope journey, but what better time than now? A rigger that can effectively handle their rope is more efficient, safer, but most importantly, will look super cool doing it. This tie-along course will teach drills and helpful tips to aid even the newest rigger on their rope journey. (WARNING, despite our efforts, your rope will still sometimes tangle).

Prerequisites: Single Column Tie
Please bring: 3-4 hanks of rope and something to take notes
In this tie-along class, we will teach a suspendable, arms in front chest harness that is easy on the shoulders. We will be learning a unique take on a double column, frictions and weaves, and fundamental skills you can apply moving forward on your rope journey. The instructors will also teach how to adapt the tie for those with larger bodies, short arms, or short torsos. For those at a suspension level, we will review the multiple points for upline attachment.

Prerequisites: Single Column Tie, Munter hitch, X- Friction
Please bring: 4-5 hanks of rope and something to take notes
When Suolinga and Nira began tying, they found themselves practicing the same sequence over and over again to build skill through repetition. After gaining confidence, they were able to change one variable at a time, learning how to create new experiences from the foundational sequence they had come to know by muscle memory. In this tie-along class, they will show a basic suspension sequence, places to improve your technical skill, and ways to think critically about moving forward from static suspensions.

Prerequisites: Basic uplines, suspendable back loading upper body harness, suspendable futomomo or similar one leg harness.
Please bring: Suspension kit and something to take notes
